I was born and reared in West Palm Beach having attended Palm Beach County public schools. I graduated from Palm Beach Atlantic University with a Master of Education and began my teaching career at Santaluces High School in Lantana in 2001. While at Santaluces, I taught mathematics to students in grades 9 through 12, from pre-algebra through Algebra 2 including AP Statistics. The basis of my educational philosophy is found in Karen Jensen’s quotation, “You can count the seeds in an apple, but you cannot count the apples in a seed. When you teach, you never know how many lives you will influence.” My passion is to plant, nurture, and encourage students to be lifelong learners. I enjoy using differentiated strategies (music, manipulatives, kinesthetic awareness, etc.) to assist my students with their learning.
In June, 2014, I retired from full time teaching. As a lifelong learner, I have gone back to college to refresh my trigonometry and precalculus course work to assist my students. I now find joy working individually with students through tutoring. I have flexible hours and prefer tutoring in Central Palm Beach County and the Wellington area.
