Tracy Torchon

I was born and raised in FL. I attended Palm Beach Lakes High School and graduated from the Teacher Academy. Soon after graduating high school, I attended Florida Atlantic University where I received both my Bachelors of Arts in Math Education and Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction in Secondary Mathematics. I started my first teaching job the same year I graduated with my B.A. at West Boca High School where I spent 6 years. There, I taught Algebra 1, Geometry and Algebra 2. I then transferred to my current school at Santaluces High School and I enjoy teaching math especially upper level courses.

When asked why I teach, I always respond with, I love making a difference in a child’s life. I’ve always had the passion to teach and the love of math and as a teacher it shows when you see the eyes of your students light up when they understand the lesson taught. It gives me great joy when students come back after graduation and telling you how you inspired them to be great at math.
