Alison Grubman-Collman

For the past nine years, I have had the pleasure of working with college students, helping them struggle with the transition of entering college from high school or helping them return to school after working in the real world for a number of years. After graduating high school, I went to the Rochester Institute of Technology to study Printing Management. After graduating with my Bachelor of Science, I stayed at the National Technical Institute for the Deaf to learn American Sign Language. In 2003, I entered Florida Atlantic University’s Master’s program in Elementary Education. I graduated from that program in May 2006 and stayed two extra semesters to obtain a Master’s in Reading Education. After that, I worked as a middle school reading teacher and then a company in Ft Lauderdale that taught English to Europeans living in south Florida. In 2007, I also found a job at Palm Beach State College tutoring English, Reading, and Writing to college students. After working there for two years, I became an adjunct professor.

I’m available to work in the evenings and weekends between Boynton Beach and Boca Raton.
