I currently teach in Palm Beach County at Santaluces High School in Lake Worth. I graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelor in Mathematics, Science, and Education and Masters of Arts in Education. After graduate school, I taught high school math and health at a juvenile detention center in WV for a year and a half. Then, I transferred to a public school and taught 7th and 8th grade math while also teaching Developmental Math courses as an adjunct professor at Fairmont State University for 3 years. I moved to FL in 2013 and have been teaching Geometry at Santaluces High School. Also, I have been the after school recovery math teacher for Algebra 1, Geometry, Liberal Arts, and College Readiness for the past two years. Additionally, I was the head basketball coach for a girls 8th grade team in West Virginia for three years. Providing private skills drills, shooting, and ball handling has also been a specialty of mine in West Virginia and at Santaluces. My passion for sports and learning make for a competitive and inquisitive personality. With my easy-going and approachable demeanor, I hope to bring the confidence back into your math skills. Hopefully you will gain assurance in your capabilities and enhance your enjoyment for learning.
