Hello. This is my story.

I currently am a writer and President of Stand Up Life, a nonprofit that I run with a former NFL linebacker, Marq Cerqua, promoting emotional intelligence in and out of the classroom. In 2018, I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with an M.S.Ed in Higher Education. During this time, I wrote a literature review on the future of distance learning pedagogy in higher education (now more prevalent than before) and conducted a research assistantship for Write4Change, an international writing platform where students share their creative and thesis-based pieces. Prior to the master’s program, I graduated from Florida International University with a BA in Political Science and minors in English and international relations. I worked as a writing consultant at the FIU Center for Excellence in Writing and pursued a Certificate in Professional and Public Writing. In further efforts to promote educational programming and emotional intelligence in the community, I sit on two Boards of Directors and run weekly volunteer programming, including a College Corner program (helping students with scholarships and college candidacy) and a creative writing workshop, at the Boys and Girls Club.
