Hello. This is my story.

My teaching philosophy is to offer a simple and accessible approach to writing. During my time as a university teacher and tutor, I found many ways to break down the essay process to discover approachable methods for even the most apprehensive writers. I like to provide a base recipe for the type of essay (expository, persuasive, thesis-driven, etc.) and then explore ways to make the paper creative and interesting. My ultimate goal is to help produce a final product that goes above and beyond expectations while still adhering to the prompt and structure requirements.

I have two English degrees (M.A., B.A.) from Florida Atlantic University and am especially experienced with academic research writing. I have taught several years of English composition and literature at the university level and have over five years of professional experience as a writing tutor. I have also worked extensively with students with disabilities and English language learners. I strongly believe in providing a personalized experience for each student’s learning level and specific needs!
