I will provide a nurturing, encouraging, judgement-free, and disciplined educational environment. My hope is also to develop a special connection student so together we can celebrate small and big victories, look back at growth, and continue encouraging them to become a better version of themselves than they already are.

Hello. This is my story.

Hello! My name is Aswini Sivaram. I graduated from Nova Southeastern University and received my Bachelor’s Degree in Biology along with minors in Studio Art and Honors. I am currently a second year dental student at Nova Southeastern’s College of Dental Medicine with the plans to earn my DMD Degree to become a dentist. I am also a professional painter and have won awards by world renowned artists.

Something that I have learned throughout my years of teaching and tutoring experience is the importance of balancing empathy for my students, while also gently encouraging each student to reach their full potential. In undergrad, I worked as a teaching assistant for Anatomy and Physiology 2. During my time as a teaching assistant, I taught about 30 students who each had a different speed of grasping the material along with different learning styles. I managed to create different
interactive exercises to accommodate each learning style. My ultimate goal wasn’t just for students to understand and develop passion for the material but also for them to discover more about themselves and what they are capable of.

During the summers, I also volunteered as a Math teacher in an underprivileged community. There were 6th graders who could not read or do math that students their age were doing. I sought to gain their trust by showing no judgement based on what level they were at.  Every student I taught was already a masterpiece in my eyes and their value wasn’t based on what educational
level they were at.

I will provide a nurturing, encouraging, judgement-free, and disciplined educational environment. My hope is also to develop a special connection student so together we can celebrate small and big victories, look back at growth, and continue encouraging them to become a better version of themselves than they already are.
