Hello. This is my story.
I am currently a high school math teacher in Broward County Public Schools. I have a BA in Mathematics from the University of California at Santa Cruz. I have created curriculum for Algebra I, II, Precalculus, and Financial Literacy and have tutored from middle school math through the Calculus series, as well as math for sciences.
I moved from California to Florida last summer to be closer to family and because I love the area. I am available to tutor in Broward, Palm Beach, and Miami-Dade counties. As a teacher I have taught in-class, virtually, and in the hybrid model.
My goal in teaching is to reach those who have math anxiety or a complete distaste of the subject. I have had a lot of success in mathematics through hard work and perseverance. I do not believe that the ability to comprehend math is a gene we have at birth but a skill we must hone through practice. Math is in the world all around us and can be very exciting (really!).
